About TimeCardWhiz

TimeCardWhiz is a small, free tool for people who want to check their weekly work hours and overtime before payday. It exists because most time card calculators online stop at a single in and out pair per day and ignore overnight shifts and daily overtime rules entirely.

What the calculator covers

Multiple daily punches, unpaid break deduction, overnight shift carryover, federal weekly overtime, California daily overtime (including the 7th consecutive day rule), custom thresholds, bi-weekly totals, hourly-rate gross pay, CSV and Excel export, and both decimal and hours:minutes output. The assumptions behind every result are listed on the calculator page, and the Federal (FLSA) and California rules are checked against the US Department of Labor and California DIR sources cited there.

What it does not do

It is not time clock software: it does not track you or connect to payroll, and it has no accounts. Punches save in your browser; if you want to share a sheet or open it on another device, you can save an optional cloud copy that expires after 90 days. It is an estimate to check your own math before you submit hours. It is not legal or payroll advice.
